AC Faculty Mentoring Program
Each Fall tenured faculty members are chosen to serve as mentors for new, incoming faculty. This program is the third part of a comprehensive faculty development program that has been implemented for several years.
This program is run through ACCET and is coordinated by Professor Garin Horner.
To be a mentor you need to:
-Attend a one-time mentor training (dates will be announced before the beginning of each Fall Semester.
-Have lunch with your mentee the day of Faculty Orientation.
-Meet for lunch at least once a month in person to work with your mentee on topics/issues of your choice. More frequent meetings are encouraged, but not required. Your lunch meeting at Ritchie is free.
-Fill out a mid-year and end-of-year evaluation of your experience with your mentee.
