Using BlackBoard Collaborate
for Lecture Capture
What is lecture capture technology? Lecture capture technology is the process that allows an instructor the ability to record many actions taking place in the classroom and makes it digitally (asynchronous via a recording) or virtually (synchronous) available to students. Lecture capture takes any recorded actions via your computer/laptop, captured footage in front of the webcam such as lectures, PowerPoint presentations, and websites for online navigation and make them viewable to your students who may not be able to attend class for various legitimate reasons.
Blackboard Collaborate is our web conferencing tool that can be utilized for lecture capture to add to your existing or new content within your BlackBoard courses.
What do you need to begin capturing and recording audio and video of the lecture?
